Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I want a color you don't show you have on the website?
A: We would be happy to special order a paracord color for you, just email sales@cairnwaterbottles.com - If you were hoping to get a different color Nalgene bottle, you can submit a vote for the colors on our next order; but for now, what you see is what we have

Q: What if I already have a Nalgene? Can I send it in to get the netting woven on for me?
A: Sure thing! No need to buy more Nalgenes (Trust me, I know the feeling!) and you'll receive $10 off! Just be sure you tape a rectangle (2"x5") wherever you wouldn't mind one of our stickers. You can also brave the DIY kit if you're feeling up to it

Q: What if I live in Salt Lake City, UT and want some guidance on one of your DIY kits - could you help me out?
A: Yup! I would love to teach and hang out with you, just send me an email at DIY@cairnwaterbottles.com and we'll set up a time to meet at Liberty Park or wherever would be convenient for you.

Q: Could I join in with another group that's meeting at Liberty Park for hands-on instruction?
A: Never hurts to ask! If there's room, we'd love to have ya

Q: Could I send in a Narrow Mouth, Kleen Kanteen, or Sigg Bottle to get worked on?
A: Of course! While some bottles (cycling bottles, etc.) without an adequate lip or separation from the lid are still unwork-able, all of the brands listed above are fantastic for the design.

Q: Do you ship internationally? Would it be alright if I ordered more than 10? Is there any ProDeal program?
A: All fantastic questions with great answers, I promise! Simply email sales@cairnwaterbottles.com and I'm sure we'll work something out.

Q: Care questions - How do I wash this??
A: I usually just wash mine by hand. If it's tough to get the scuzzy out of the Nalgene threads where the cap screws on, hunt down that old toothbrush, scrub just a bit and voila! It's also dishwasher safe, but be sure to place it on the top rack if possible and leave the carabiners in their loops.
